About Us

Internal Medicine Associates is committed to providing patients with convenient access to high-quality care. We believe that providing high-quality care is not only about the medical advice that we dispense, but more importantly about the relationships we have with our patients. We continue to strive to be a leader in innovative medicine and are one of the first medical practices in the area to offer online health services to our patients.

Internal Medicine Associates was started in 1976 to provide care for the residents of Cumberland County and the surrounding Tri-county areas. Thanks to our supportive patients, we have been able to grow our practice into one of the most successful and busiest internal medicine practices in the area.

We are proud to say that we have been Meaningful Use Providers since 2011. We are also a Patient Centered Medical Home which partners with the patient and your family to meet your healthcare needs. We strive to provide you with seamless care across the spectrum of medical care settings so that we can provide you with not only physical, but emotional and supportive care.

Our office will gladly take care of your referrals. Please leave a message on our referral line and allow us 48 hours to complete. Please leave your name, date of birth, the test or service you need, the location and the name of the doctor you will be seeing and your scheduled appointment date. Always make sure your insurance is updated with our office.

Prescription Refills

To make prescription refills as easy for our patients as possible, we have arranged with most local and mail order pharmacies to handle your requests electronically. You may call the pharmacy and leave your information and they will get in touch with our office for approval. Prescriptions will usually be ready for pick-up within 24 hours. Please remember to call for prescription refills at least a week before you run out of your medication, rather than waiting until you are out of medicine. In the interest of safety and accuracy, we can take care of prescription refills only during regular office hours so that we can review your chart. Some medications cannot be refilled without an office visit, and others cannot be refilled more than 6 months from the date of your last visit.
